CushCoffees are among the highest quality coffees sourced consciously through either Direct Trade, Fair Trade, or More Than Fair certifications. All coffees are organic, whether certified or non certified. We believe in protecting our products, as well as those who consume them. Our coffees are extremely rare since we purchase very small lots of coffee from our groups of suppliers. We then artfully roast them to perfection. Our niche of custom roasting for clients is becoming popular among those seeking a new level in coffee tasting experience! Our coffee stock rotates often. Because we purchase small batches, you are guaranteed a new experience with every new purchase. Nano roasting & purchasing is an art within itself. By roasting small quantities, we can control the roasting processes more effectively. Also our purchasing small quantities guarantees diversity in the beans we roast because every purchased batch comes from a different lot or farm! How exciting is that for artisan crafting!

“Coffees from the northern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra are admired for their complex earth, fruit and aromatic wood notes that result largely from unorthodox fruit removal and drying practices called “wet hulling.” This coffee is a refined example of the type.

Blind Assessment: Sweetly and gently pungent. Peach, melon, cocoa, fir, a hint of grapefruity citrus in aroma and cup. Rich, balanced acidity; lightly syrupy mouth feel. Sweetly tart, citrusy finish.

Who should drink it: Non-gardening Sumatra drinkers. A still pungent but rather bright version of the classic Sumatra profile, with only a discreet hint of the usual musty earth.”
